Behind every blockbuster film is a blockbuster soundtrack, fashioning sonic accompaniment to moments of derring-do and romance. Here's a fact sheet on the soundtracks of 2007's summer films.

"Shrek the Third": The latest installment in this children's fantasy series, starring the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz, opened May 18 and features a soundtrack, now available, that may be the most surprising in this list. Tracks from Led Zeppelin, Wolfmother and Macy Gray show off the tongue-in-cheek intelligence and creativity of the "Shrek" franchise.
